Jones Christmas Party

December 20th, 2008

We had our annual family party last Saturday. Of course, the high point was when Santa surprised us with a visit. He came in and immediately took off his heavy coat and hat, explaining that it is extremely cold where he lives, so it seems really warm here.
Everyone got a chance to sit on his lap and tell what they wanted for Christmas. He remembered what Rach wanted, since she told him a week before at our ward Christmas party.
He finished off with his "Naughty/Nice List." He talked to each one about the things he knew about that they were doing good or bad. He reminded them that they still had a few days before Christmas to fix any bad habits or attitudes. Lots of praise was given, of course!

When he was done with the kids, we played a game with him, and he left enough time for family pictures with him.

I had to include this adorable picture of my great-niece, Carly. Grandma couldn't be left out, and a picture with all of the kids.

This is our famous Christmas cake inlaid with pictures of our dinner. It was yummy!

The Pinata was another high-point of the day. My brother, Dean, gave the final blow since it was his birthday. Candy scattered and kids were everywhere. It was a lot of fun to watch.

We tried a new game this year call Broom Hockey. It looked like a lot of fun, except for the broom that got broken. I guess that's to be expected from this game.

Bingo was the finale, but not to worry...the "Left-Right Game" will return next year for sure!

Jeez Kathy, talk about making me homesick for family! I wish we could be there for the family get together stuff. Maybe some day, right? It looks like a lot of fun.
